LDAP
Abbreviation for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol
Definition
LDAP is a protocol that programs use to access directory services holding user accounts and permissions. If a shop or portal is connected to it, staff sign in with their usual company credentials. Users then do not have to be maintained separately in several systems.
