Pricing for B2B Shop Projects: Published, Not on Request
A B2B shop is not a catalogue product but a project involving data migration, pricing logic and system integration. To let you plan early, we publish our orientation prices — from entry level through ERP integration to ongoing maintenance. The binding fixed price follows the free requirements analysis.

A typical mid-market project with ERP integration comes to around 39,000 €, a B2B customer portal as an MVP from 24,500 € (full portal from 49,000 €), a standard ERP connector from 4,900 € (custom from 12,900 €), punchout and OCI from 4,900 € per integration, maintenance from 249 € per month (Business 490, Premium 990). Hourly rate 119 €, daily rate 940 €. All prices net plus VAT; the Shopware Community Edition carries no platform licence fee, any licences for Shopware B2B Components are stated separately.
„What does a B2B shop cost?“ is the first question in almost every initial conversation — and the one most rarely answered openly. We consider that a mistake: anyone planning a budget needs a reliable order of magnitude before investing in three agency meetings. This page therefore brings together the orientation prices for all our services in one place, along with the factors that move the price up or down and a clear distinction between fixed price and time-and-materials billing.
Three Typical Project Sizes in B2B Commerce
| Module | from, net |
|---|---|
| Standard ERP connector | 4,900 € |
| OCI punchout per integration | 4,900 € |
| B2B customer portal as MVP | 24,500 € |
| Maintenance and SLA, Basic | 249 € per month |
What a B2B Shop Project Costs — the Overview
The range in B2B commerce is wide, and for a substantive reason: between a lean ordering portal for 200 regular customers and a platform with 80,000 products, ERP coupling and procurement integration lies a multiple of implementation effort. We have therefore grouped our projects into three orders of magnitude that keep proving themselves in practice. They are not a modular kit but a frame of reference: almost every project starts in one of these tiers and grows into the next one later.
Sequence matters. A shop that goes live first and is then coupled step by step to ERP and PIM is usually more economical than a large project that only produces costs for twelve months. In most cases we therefore recommend an MVP approach with a clearly defined initial scope and a roadmap for the following months. The entry price is not a teaser: it reflects a genuinely deliverable scope of functions that works without deep system coupling.
Orientation Prices by Project Type
All prices net plus VAT. Every project starts with a free initial conversation and a binding fixed-price offer after the requirements analysis. Scope, data quality and integration depth determine which path fits.

The figures are entry prices for a typical project cut, not flat rates. After the requirements analysis you receive a binding fixed-price offer with a statement of work. Details on the individual services can be found under Shopware development, integrations and B2B portals.
What Moves the Price Up or Down
Two companies with similar revenue and a similar product range surprisingly often end up with very different project prices. The reason rarely lies in the design and almost always in the data and processes behind it. In our project practice the following six factors explain most of the price differences — and they are at the same time the points where you can save most effectively yourself.
Data quality and catalogue size
Well-maintained product master data with clean attributes, units and images noticeably shortens every project. If classifications such as ETIM or ECLASS are missing, the data set has to be prepared before migration. This is the most common reason a project becomes more expensive than initially assumed — and the lever where your own preparatory work has the greatest effect.
System landscape and interfaces
A modern ERP with a documented REST interface can be connected with a standard connector from 4,900 €. A historically grown system without an API, relying on file exports and special logic, requires a dedicated transformation layer from 12,900 €. The number and type of systems is the second largest price driver.
Price and conditions logic
List prices with a single customer discount are simple. Framework agreements, project prices, promotional tiers, volume bonuses and time-limited special conditions per customer group are not. The more rules have to be mirrored live from the ERP into the shop, the more elaborate the pricing engine becomes.
Roles, approvals and organisation
If one person orders per customer, a simple account is enough. As soon as group structures with sites, cost centres, budgets and multi-level approvals have to be modelled, a dedicated permission model emerges. This logic is the core of a B2B customer portal and correspondingly demanding.
Procurement integration for key accounts
If your most important customers buy through central procurement systems, a punchout integration is added per system: OCI from 4,900 €, cXML from 6,900 € per integration. Every integration includes the acceptance test with the target system, because otherwise nobody signs off the go-live.
Migration and legacy data
A fresh start on a green field is cheaper than a migration with existing customers, historical orders and a grown URL structure. A standard migration starts at 9,900 €, a B2B migration with customer groups, tiered prices and ERP integration at 23,900 €.
What an orientation price is — and what it is not
Fixed Price or Time and Materials: When Each Model Fits
We work with both billing models, but not arbitrarily. Everything that can be described cleanly in advance is calculated as a fixed price — this includes shop build, migration, ERP and punchout integrations. Everything that is open by nature is billed by effort: development after go-live, optimisation based on real usage data and special requirements that only become visible in operation. This separation protects both sides: you get planning certainty where it is possible and pay no risk premium for the unknown.
| Criterion | Fixed price | Time and materials |
|---|---|---|
| When it makes sense | Clearly described scope with an agreed specification | Open requirements, continuous development |
| Typical services | Shop build, migration, ERP and punchout integration | Optimisation, support beyond the contract, special logic |
| Price formation | Flat rate after analysis, e.g. from 14,900 € net | 119 € per hour, daily rate 940 € net |
| Planning certainty | Budget is fixed before the project starts | Budget is steered via an agreed effort ceiling |
| Changes during the project | Change request with its own estimate and approval | Can be scheduled directly, without a supplementary offer |
| Billing | By milestones and partial acceptances | Monthly by hours worked with an activity record |
Individual Modules and Their Entry Prices
Not every venture is a full project. Many companies already run a shop and need exactly one missing module — an ERP coupling, a punchout integration or invoice purchase with a credit limit. You commission these modules individually, each at a fixed price after a short analysis. The following overview brings all entry prices together; the detail pages describe the scope of each service.
- ERP integration: standard connector from 4,900 €, custom integration with a dedicated transformation layer from 12,900 €
- PIM integration: standard connection with attribute mapping from 4,900 €, complex variant logic from 12,900 €
- Punchout and OCI: OCI integration from 4,900 € per procurement system, cXML from 6,900 € per integration
- B2B payment methods: standard package with invoice purchase, SEPA direct debit and payment control from 4,900 €
- B2B customer portal: MVP from 24,500 €, full portal with approvals, documents and SSO from 49,000 €
- Shop migration: standard migration from 9,900 €, B2B migration with customer groups and ERP integration from 23,900 €
- Headless commerce: gradual entry for a single area from 14,900 €, complete project from 39,000 €
- Performance optimisation: audit from 940 €, implementation by effort at 119 € per hour
- E-commerce consulting: daily rate 940 €, hourly rate 119 €, discovery workshop one to two consulting days

Running Costs After Go-Live
A B2B shop is a productive system in day-to-day sales. After go-live, plannable running costs therefore arise for updates, security patches, backups, monitoring and interface care. We map this in three maintenance tiers with different response times. Which tier fits depends less on shop size than on how much revenue per hour of downtime is at stake.
Maintenance and SLA After Go-Live
All prices net plus VAT, billed monthly. Every engagement starts with a free maintenance audit of your existing system.
Basic
For shops with moderate order volume.
- Security updates for Shopware and extensions
- Daily backups with regular restore checks
- Availability monitoring with notification
- Response on working days
- Update log and named contact
Business
For shops with ERP coupling and fixed ordering windows.
- Everything from the Basic tier
- Interface monitoring with alerts on sync errors
- Performance monitoring of the core processes
- Shortened response times in case of incidents
- Fixed hour contingents for smaller adjustments
Premium
For platforms with high process dependency.
- Everything from the Business tier
- Extended availability by agreement
- Prioritised handling of critical incidents
- Regular roadmap and optimisation sessions
- Preparation and support for major updates
Additional development beyond the contingent is billed at 119 € per hour (daily rate 940 €) net. Hosting, payment provider fees and any licences for Shopware B2B Components are not included and are stated separately.
What Is Not Included in the Project Price
Transparency also means naming the gaps. The following items are deliberately not included in our orientation prices, because they are either charged by third parties or depend heavily on your situation. We state them separately in the offer so that you can calculate the total cost realistically — including the positions that do not go to us.
- Hosting and operations: server costs for staging and production; we recommend and set up, billing runs through the provider
- Third-party licences: Shopware B2B Components and paid extensions are charged by the respective vendor
- Payment providers: transaction and discount fees for card payment, direct debit or secured invoice purchase
- Content: product copy, photography and video material unless explicitly commissioned
- In-house data preparation: cleaning up product master data where your team handles it internally
- Tax and legal review: alignment of tax logic, terms and contracts with your tax adviser or lawyer
Be careful with flat prices quoted without analysis
From First Conversation to Binding Offer
The route to a fixed price is always the same with us and takes two to five weeks depending on project size. You take no risk at any step: the initial conversation and the analysis are free, and the result of the analysis is yours — even if you decide against working with us in the end.
Free initial conversation
In around 30 minutes we clarify your starting position, catalogue structure, existing systems and rough time frame. At the end we classify your venture into one of the three project sizes and name the modules that typically apply. That is not yet an offer, but a reliable order of magnitude for your budget planning.
Requirements analysis and system review
We look concretely at product master data, pricing logic, ERP interfaces and existing processes. This shows which data can be migrated, where preparation is needed and which interfaces are actually available. This phase determines the accuracy of the later fixed price.
Specification and expansion stages
The analysis produces a written statement of work with a clear separation between the first go-live and later expansion stages. Anything that does not have to be in the initial scope is deliberately moved back — this lowers the starting budget and shortens the time to first productive use.
Binding fixed-price offer
You receive an offer with a fixed price per expansion stage, a payment plan by milestones and named contacts. It includes development, testing, acceptance support and the briefing of your team. Positions charged by third parties are stated separately.
Implementation, acceptance and operation
Implementation runs in manageable stages with regular interim results you can actually try out. After acceptance the shop moves into monitored operation; we agree the right maintenance tier together before the first customer places an order.
What the Fixed Price of a Shop Project Includes
Scope without hidden positions
A fixed price that only covers development and charges testing, acceptance and briefing separately is not a fixed price. With us, all steps up to productive operation are part of it — including the time needed for coordination with your team and for correction loops after the interim acceptances. Anything charged by third parties is listed separately in the offer and marked as such.
- Development, testing and acceptance support in one position
- Briefing of your team on content editing and order processing
- Technical documentation of interfaces and special logic
